Wise Wealth, LLC, an independent financial advisory firm, has relocated its headquarters to 1369 Southford Road in Southbury.
The family-run firm, with locations in New York City and Knoxville, offers a full range of financial services to its clients across over 30 states.
Founded by Jan Wise, the firm’s first office was located in Oxford before moving to Prospect. When the firm outgrew Prospect, Southbury was a natural next stop.
Before establishing her own firm, Wise served as a national training consultant for American Express Financial Advisors.
At the center of everything at Wise Wealth, she says, is family.
“For our company, it’s very important, because our clients are like family to us,” she said. “The people who’ve worked with us have been here for over a decade in most cases. And we want to build that community spirit here as well. A lot of our clients are from this area, as well as all over the state.”
Her son, John D’Agostino, joined the company as an investment advisor while the firm was still in Oxford and has since helped it put down local roots in the area he grew up in.
“When you’re working with clients, it’s all about relations,” said D’Agostino, a former Division I wrestler. “Seeing a company like this, where not only do we have people working with us for so long, but being a family that can work together. Having one of my childhood friends [on staff] shows that intertwined trust.”

The move to 1369 Southford Road came about through another family connection.
John’s retired father-in-law was putting up a real estate sign at the property when John called him, looking for leads on potential office space in the area. His father-in-law suggested they take a look at the freestanding building along Route 67, and the family soon decided it would be the firm’s new home.
Wise said the building and its surroundings made the decision easy.
“It just felt right,” she said. “We felt that this was a great building in a great spot. There was community support. We were able to do a great renovation job here.”
“We’re really happy to be part of the community in this part of the state,” she added.
