Beginning July 1, Southbury taxpayers will have a new in-person payment option: the ION Bank branch at 363 Main Street South.
The service is open to all residents; an account at ION Bank is not required.
However, this service is limited to the Southbury branch only, and the bank only accepts checks for current bills, not late or past-due ones. Residents must also bring their tax bill stubs.
The Tax Collector’s office at Town Hall continues to accept payments online, by mail, and in person.
The local ION Bank branch’s hours are:
Mon – Wed: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
