
MIDDLEBURY — The Democratic Party’s endorsed slate won decisively in Tuesday’s Middlebury Democratic Town Committee primary, according to unofficial results released following the Tuesday, March 3 vote.
A total of 331 Democrats cast ballots, including 35 absentee voters and 296 Election Day voters at the Shepardson Community Center.
The 25 party-endorsed candidates — who were challenged by a petitioning slate — each received between 250 and 287 votes.

The primary was held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Shepardson Community Center.
In a social media post, the Middlebury Democratic Town Committee thanked voters for braving the cold and snowy weather on Tuesday.
“The fact that so many people still showed up speaks to the deep sense of responsibility and care that exists in our town,” reads the MDTC’s message.
