In addition, all Region 15 schools will be closed on Monday. The district says that there is a potential for an impact to the school day on Tuesday as well.
The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for the region from Sunday afternoon through Monday evening, with total snowfall projected between 16 and 20 inches and wind gusts as high as 55 mph. Officials are warning that travel could become dangerous, particularly overnight Sunday into Monday morning.
A town-wide parking ban will take effect beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, to allow crews to clear roads safely and efficiently.
Town officials are strongly urging residents to stay off roadways during and immediately following the storm, which is expected to produce heavy, wet snow capable of downing trees and power lines.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local alerts and prepare for possible power outages as conditions worsen.
