
The Southbury Arts and Culture Alliance (SACA) will hold its 2025 Artist of the Year Awards Ceremony on Thursday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kinglsey Room of the Southbury Public Library, 100 Poverty Road.
The second annual awards ceremony recognizes the creative talent enriching the Southbury community and will honor three exceptional contributors to the local arts scene:
● Artist of the Year
● People’s Choice Award – voted by the community
● David K. Merrill Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award – for enduring contributions to the cultural fabric of the region

This year’s nominees for SACA’s Greater Southbury’s Artist of the Year Award are as followed, in alphabetical order:

At the inaugural event held last year, Tammy Lee Dunn of Southbury was awarded Artist of the Year. Faith Vicinanza was presented with the David K. Merrill Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award.
The nonprofit says guests can expect heartfelt presentations and warm community spirit as this year’s award nominees and recipients are honored.
“We’re thrilled to recognize and celebrate Southbury’s wonderful community of artists,” said Kelly Keenan, President of SACA. “These awards help shine a spotlight on these local artists who uplift, inspire, connect, and enrich our lives through their creative work.”
The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and show their support for the nominees and awardees, but advance registration is required due to limited space.
