Rochambeau Rebels Partner with Sustainable Southbury for a Youth Fundraiser

The Rochambeau Rebels are a new competitive cheerleading program for kindergarten through eighth grade. The Rochambeau Rebels are named for the national historic trail commemorating the route taken by General Jean-Baptiste de Rochambeau during the American Revolution.  The Rochambeau Rebels pay tribute to this incredible history that ties our greater community together and honor the determined spirit of those who paved the way for future generations.

To support this new cheerleading team, the Rochambeau Rebels are partnering with Sustainable Southbury for a bottle and can collection fundraiser on Sunday, July 6th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 800 Main Street South. This fundraiser is a “Beyond the Bow” initiative, which provides cheerleaders the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteer service and engagement.

The school community and residents are encouraged to donate their recyclable aluminum cans and plastic bottles.  All proceeds directed to the Rochambeau Rebels will support the team and help them provide the “Beyond the Bow” initiative and other important initiatives, such as an age-appropriate, community-driven program that connects local business owners, professionals, artists, veterans, and others to inspire and guide older cheerleaders in exploring their dreams.
