Juneteenth / Pride Rally

All are welcome to join Justice Southbury’s special Father’s Day rally, featuring (1) historian and genealogist John Mills of Bloomfield, whose nonprofit organization reconstructs Black ancestry, especially tracing roots back to enslaved persons; (2) Kevin Jennings, CEO of Lambda Legal, America’s oldest and largest national legal organization advocating for LGBT persons; and (3) reflections on what “love your neighbor” means for fatherhood.
For 250 straight Sunday afternoons, starting just after George Floyd was murdered, Justice Southbury has held peaceful, positive, uplifting rallies for social justice and racial equity in rain, snow, heat and cold. Their mission is to cultivate an inclusive community where all are treated fairly and welcomed as equals. Their vision is “a more fair and kind community for all.”
