- Inland Wetlands & ZBA Coordinator – Applications due by April 14, 2025.
The Town of Southbury is hiring a full-time Inland Wetlands & ZBA Coordinator at 35 hours/week with a salary range of $47,000-$50,000 per year. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, sick and personal leave, defined contribution plan with match, medical, dental and vision insurance as well as life and long-term disability insurance.
This position provides administrative and technical assistance to the Land Use Department, Inland Wetland Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA).
- Facilities Technician – Applications due by April 18, 2025.
The Town of Southbury is hiring a full-time Facilities Technician in the Public Works Department. The position is represented by the Teamsters Local 443 Collective Bargaining Unit. Required hours are 40/week with the potential for overtime. Provides excellent medical benefits through the Teamsters Union at no cost to the employee. Eligible to participate in the defined contribution retirement plan with Town match and receives life and disability insurance and generous sick, vacation and personal leave. Salary is $24.01/hour and the work schedule is Tuesday – Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Seasonal Maintainer (Outside) – Applications due by April 18, 2025.
The Southbury Department of Public Works is hiring Seasonal Maintainers to assist the Outside Properties division in maintaining Town parks, trails, and facilities. The employment duration is May-August at 40 hours/week with a pay rate of $17.00/hour.
- Per Diem Laborer at the Transfer Station – Open until filled.
The Town of Southbury is hiring a per diem Laborer at the Transfer Station. Hours are variable based on the needs of the department. Salary range is $16.00-$18.00/hour.
This position is responsible for manual labor duties and monitoring and assisting in the deposit of recycling and solid waste materials.
