A stretch of sidewalk along the north side of Poverty Road now provides a new pedestrian connection between Main Street South and the Southbury Public Library.
The Town of Southbury will host a grand opening on Thursday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m. for the newly constructed sidewalk. The event will be held at the library (100 Poverty Road). Congresswoman Jahana Hayes and First Selectman Tim O’Neil are scheduled to attend.
The project was funded through federal Community Project Funding secured by Congresswoman Hayes, along with funding from the Town of Southbury.
