The town’s annual Southbury Celebration returns Saturday, September 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Lake Stibbs Field at the Southbury Training School (1461 South Britain Road).
Admission is free. Organizers (The Town of Southbury, Southbury Training School, and Southbury Parks and Recreation) encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Fireworks are scheduled for approximately 8:15 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, a rain date of Sunday, September 27 has been set.

Jim Tornatore, a Southbury Parks and Recreation Commissioner and artistic director of the Southbury-based Newbury Musical Theater Company, will serve as master of ceremonies. All times are approximate.
4:00 p.m. — DJ music by Powerstation Events
5:00 p.m. — Anishka Mittal, 8-year-old vocalist
5:15 p.m. — Dan Sawyer, a Southbury singer/songwriter, voted best Connecticut solo musician in 2025. 50 years playing professionally from CT to CA.
5:40 p.m. — Sean O’Reilly, a singer songwriter, as well as a self taught harpist, and pianist from Connecticut.
6:10 p.m. — Michael Carrington, singer/guitarist/troubadour and Southbury resident.
6:35 p.m. — Carmen Olivia and the Underground, featured on “American Idol” Season 22
7:05 p.m. — Good Medicine Rx, a Southbury acoustic duo, Michel Driscoll and Jeff Duggan specializing in songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s
7:35 p.m. — Tor Hyams & Lisa St. Lou, recording artists, songwriters, producers, and performers whose work spans soul, pop, rock, jazz, and musical theater.
8:10 p.m. — National Anthem
~8:15 p.m. — Fireworks

Parking Info
Free parking is available on the Southbury Training School’s Great Front Lawn, entrance off Nutmeg Avenue via the main STS entrance. Handicapped parking (permit required) is designated in a section near the field. Drop-off and pick-up is located behind the Gatehouse cottage at the main entrance.
No pedestrian walking, parking or drop-off/pick-up will be permitted along Route 172 during the event due to traffic congestion. Alcohol and pets are prohibited; attendees with service animals should use caution given the crowds and fireworks noise.
