South Britain Congregational Church will host a Furniture, Art and Home Decor Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 12.
A wide assortment of antique, vintage, contemporary, traditional, farmhouse and Asian-influence furniture will fill three rooms in the lower level of the parish house, located across from the church near the corner of Route 172 and East Flat Hill Road.
Items for sale include sofas, cocktail tables, easy chairs, dining tables and chairs, shelving units, end tables, lamps, mirrors, beds, TVs and outdoor furniture, among other pieces. Complementing the furniture offerings will be original and reproduction artwork and decorative home accents in a range of styles.
Committee member Jean Dunn said the church has received donations from several local estates over the past year.
“We have received so many beautiful items,” she said. “There are some really interesting things, like an antique flame mahogany drop-leaf table, several pieces of Western and Southwestern art and a collection of electrified oil lamps. We also have a lot of very practical pieces that would fit any decor.
“There really is something for everyone.”
The sale will take place rain or shine. Proceeds will support the church’s ongoing mission.
