The Southbury Democratic Town Committee (SDTC) will host “Canvas for Change: Paint & Sip” on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Century 21 Bette Realty Barn, 185 Main Street North.
Participants will receive all the supplies needed to create their own masterpiece while enjoying mimosas and light refreshments during a morning of creativity and civic engagement.
The class will be led by local Southbury artist and member of the Board of Selectmen, Kelly Keenan, who will guide attendees of all experience levels through the painting process. Guests will be able to take home their completed work of art.
The fundraising event will benefit Democratic candidates on the November ballot. Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple and must be purchased by July 12 at southburydemocrats.com.
“Canvas for Change brings together art, community, and civic participation in a fun and meaningful way,” SDTC Chair Michael Carrington said.
“We’re excited to offer residents an opportunity to connect with neighbors while helping support Democratic candidates and the values they represent,” Carrington said. “Bring your partner or some friends, and family, and join us for a morning of shared creativity and camaraderie.”
