Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist has announced its Sunday service theme for April 2026: “Embracing Possibility.”
Throughout the month, services will explore the ways that disappointment and hardship can give way to renewal and hope, drawing on the spirit of the spring season as a reminder that things can get better.
Spending time outdoors in nature can calm minds, lift spirits, bring joy, and also serve as a reminder of the responsibility to care for our earth and each other.
Each Sunday, guest speakers and ministers will look at the many aspects of this theme and how it invites all of us to live up to the Unitarian Universalist values and principles. There will also be a focus on meaningful calendar connections, including Easter, Passover, Earth Day, and others.

Sunday worship services are held at 11 a.m. at 283 Main Street North in Southbury. The congregation gathers in the sanctuary at UCC Southbury, followed by refreshments and conversation in the social hall. Children are welcome. A Religious Exploration program is offered for families throughout the year.
