SOUTHBURY — State Rep. Jason Buchsbaum (R-69) will hold a pair of in-person office hours later this month and early February as lawmakers prepare for the start of the 2026 General Assembly session.
The informal meetings are intended to give constituents an opportunity to speak directly with their state representative about legislative priorities, state programs, and local concerns. Residents are encouraged to stop by anytime for informal conversation.
Buchsbaum will be joined at the Southbury event on Friday, Jan. 30, by State Rep. Arnie Jensen (R-131), who represents portions of Southbury, Naugatuck, and Oxford.
The office hours are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, Jan. 30, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
AM Coffee & Co., 220 Main Street South, Southbury - Monday, Feb. 2, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Roxbury Market, 26 North Street, Roxbury
“The next legislative session is known as the budget adjustment session, and much of the work will be focused on fiscal issues. Committees can still introduce other bills, so I want to hear from residents about issues they would like to see addressed,” said Buchsbaum. “I encourage all residents to share their thoughts about state government and learn more about some of the topics likely to be raised.”
Buchsbaum represents Connecticut’s 69th General Assembly District, which includes Bridgewater, Roxbury, New Milford, and Southbury. He serves on the Commerce, Energy & Technology, and Public Safety & Security committees.
Jensen represents the 131st General Assembly District and serves on the Energy & Technology, Environment, General Law, and Housing committees.
Constituents may contact the legislators through the General Assembly’s toll-free number at (800) 842-1423, by email at Jason.Buchsbaum@housegop.ct.gov or Arnold.Jensen@housegop.ct.gov, or by visiting RepBuchsbaum.com and RepJensen.com for legislative updates.
