The Southbury Juniorettes, the junior division of the Southbury Women’s Club, are partnering with Sustainable Southbury to raise money for charity events and activities.

The drive will take place on Sunday, January 4th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 800 Main Street South, Southbury.

The Southbury Women’s Club is a local nonprofit service organization of women of all ages with different backgrounds and varied interests. They combine their time, talents, and energy to enrich the community.

Participants should note that EyeRecycle now requires aluminum cans to be in separate bags from plastic bottles. Sort plastic bottles by size: under 1 liter, 1 liter, and 2 liters. Glass bottles must be brought in cardboard boxes to avoid breakage.

Items Not Accepted: High Noons, Surfside, Nutrl, any spirit-based seltzers, or special craft-brewery IPAs, because they have not contracted with state redemption centers, and they must be redeemed at the point of sale. Five-gallon milk jugs, wine or liquor bottles are also not accepted.

Sustainable Southbury also accepts inkjet printer cartridges (not laser). The small proceeds earned from recycling printer cartridges benefit Sustainable Southbury.
