The Pomperaug High School girls swim and dive team is heading into its 2025 season after last year’s undefeated run, which included both a South-West Conference title and the Class M State championship.

To support the program, the team is partnering with Sustainable Southbury for a bottles and cans drive on Sunday, October 5, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at 800 Main Street South, Southbury CT.

The event is open to anyone, regardless of where you live.

Note: EyeRecycle now requires aluminum cans to be in separate bags from plastic bottles. Sort plastic bottles by size: under 1 liter, 1 liter, and 2 liters. Glass bottles must be brought in cardboard boxes to avoid breakage.

For information on what is accepted, presorting instructions, and the express lane, please see https://www.sustainablesouthbury.org/eye-recycle-event or email info@sustainablesouthbury.org.

Sustainable Southbury also accepts used inkjet printer cartridges (not laser). The small proceeds earned from recycling benefit Sustainable Southbury.
