A demolition application has been filed for a commercial office building at 774 Main Street South, a 2,552-square-foot structure built in 1930. The request was submitted by Estee Zaloumis on behalf of MOBY, LLC, the current property owner. According to town land records, MOBY purchased the building in 2019 for $280,000.
The site has previously housed professional offices, including a former attorney and an accountant.
As the building is more than 50 years old, the application triggers a public notification process under Section 4.5 of Southbury’s Code of Ordinances. The proposed demolition is under review by the town’s Building Official.
